The deal
By using buydrunk (the “site”), run by [BuyDrunk LLC], you agree to these terms. If you don’t, that’s fine, but please don’t use the site.
What the site is
A product-discovery site. We curate funny products from independent brands, you swipe through them, and if you buy, the order is placed through Shopify’s hosted checkout and fulfilled by the brand that makes the product. Party games and gift tools are free features that use the same catalog.
Orders, shipping, returns
- Prices, availability, taxes, and shipping are shown at checkout and can change. A product can sell out between swipe and checkout. We’re sorry in advance.
- Your purchase is subject to Shopify’s checkout terms and the fulfilling brand’s shipping and return policies, which are shown at checkout and in your order confirmation.
- For problems with an order, contact us at [contact email] and we’ll help route it to the right brand.
Rooms, exchanges, and links
Games, gift exchanges, wishlists, reveal links, and polls are shared spaces identified by links and codes. Anyone with the link can see what’s in it. You agree to:
- Use nicknames, hints, questions, and roasts that won’t get a reasonable friend group in trouble: no harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, or anyone’s private information.
- Not share private links (organizer keys, judge keys) with people who shouldn’t have them, and not try to guess or scrape other people’s.
- Not automate, flood, or otherwise abuse the site. We rate limit and may block abusive traffic.
We can remove content or close rooms that break these rules, without notice.
Your content
You own what you type. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people you share it with, and use it in anonymous, aggregated form (for example “2,000 people took a taco holder to a deserted island”). We won’t publish your roast with your name on it, because we don’t have your name.
Our content
Our writing, design, code, and the funny titles are ours or our licensors’. Product images and descriptions belong to the brands. Don’t copy the site wholesale. Sharing links is encouraged.
No warranties
The site is provided as is. We don’t promise it will always be up, that a product is right for you, or that the Oracle is actually wise. Nothing on the site is medical, legal, or financial advice. Please make purchasing decisions sober, whatever the name says.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, [BuyDrunk LLC] isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past twelve months or fifty US dollars. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
